FrAtEr HaTeR was, like most awesome things in life, created as sort of a joke. I have been a musician since I was 10 years old, playing guitar, pots and pans drum sets that I would improvise, toys, cheap shitty keyboards, surreal lyrics I'd write in class at school strung out on drugs, etc. I played it all out to the bitter end, and will spare you the boring vain self-centered ego boosting bio and get to the point. I pretty much gave up on music and thought that I had done everything I had wanted to do with it by age 24 or so occasionally playing accoustic songs for and with friends and recording the occasional high and drunk medlies to slop an album together when I felt nostalgic, you get the point.

Anyway, one day, I realized that I had the technology to do what I had always wanted to do sitting right there in my living room. I had always wanted to do "Techno" music. Techno was a term that I applied to any and all electronic looped and sampled music. I downloaded Mixcraft v4 off of Piratebay.org to make a quick album before the trial version ran out which is where JellY PrisM came from. The idea of Frater Hater originally was to download various trial versions and finish an album in a week before the trial ran out, then pimp the album out shamelessly trying to get as many people to download it as possible so that my audio spells would have a better chance of working. After JellY PrisM of course, I had decided that I really enjoyed making this type of music and that I was getting really good at it.

This is when I actually shelled out the cash to buy Mixcraft and Beatcraft and started taking it way more seriously. By this time I hooked up with Ikipr and Aleph9.com. I set to work on Metapuke which took me a couple months to finish in the meantime releasing Morbid Whore at the Gates of Wendy just for the hell of it. I am not gonna continue the story of how I made each album and the circumstances, suffice it to say, I didn't stop making electronic music, and I only got better.

Each album is its own entity really, they are all different, with their own feel, vibe, concept, music, art and magick. Most all the albums consist of songs that sort of fit the idea of the entire album. I want each album to be a trip within itself and to reach it's own end by any means possible. To be honest, I am not beyond stealing or borrowing anything that I want without permission. The way I see it, is that the end justifies the means, and some songs may have no actual music that was created by me at all on them, however this almost never the case, if I want to, I will steal every piece of the song from a different place and glue it together with stolen glue. I don't care, that's just how frater hater rolls. I take what I want and need and put my albums together how I want, not letting anyone elses opinions or ideas get in the way. This keeps music and art liberating and free for me.

I need this in my life to keep me somewhat sane and psuedonormal, and to keep me from killing my landlord, boss, or any other authority figure, I suppose.
